We take a look at 2 brand new ski films coming out this 2016/17 winter season. With technology getting more and more advanced we are pretty excited to see what comes out later this year. Last year we saw the incredible 'Passenger' from Legs of Steel come out and blow everyone's minds! But this year there are 2 films we are really looking forwards to watching.

The Fourth Phase - Red Bull Media House

The guys at Red Bull Media House follow legendary snowboarder Travis Rice around and take a look at what goes on inside his head. While exploring the untapped back country of his native Wyoming, Rice plots a 16,000 mile course to follow the hydrological cycle around the north Pacific, where snow and ice create dreamlike landscapes on the towering mountains above.

From the Japanese Alps to the volcanoes of Russia, and a spectacularly remote area of Alaska, Rice is joined by several of snowboarding’s most innovative riders including Mark Landvik, Eric Jackson, Bryan Iguchi, Pat Moore, Mikkel Bang, Jeremy Jones, Victor de Le Rue, Ben Ferguson, and more.

Supervention 2 - Field Productions

Supervention 2 is a follow up to the inspiring Supervention 1 film from 2013. It explores the world of action sports through skiing and snowboarding. Experience the willpower and motivation it takes to conquer risk, fear and injuries. From the young and ambitious to the legends of back then, meet the athletes at the top of their sport who choose to risk everything.

Supervention 2 takes you through all walks of life to experience what it’s like to leave behind normality of work and family life for the thrill of a lifetime. Filmed in unique locations with high-end 4K cinematography and Dolby Atmos sound design, Supervention 2 is a feel-good adventure about those who live outside the box.
