La Tania, in Courchevel is situated in the middle of this famous 3 Valleys ski area with over 640kms of piste on tap. It furnishes skiers with the ultimate in choice - offering immediate access to both Courchevel and Meribel without the need for lengthy connections.
This pretty resort is quite exclusive, yet inexpensive. It offers some of the longest and most snow sure slopes in the area - due to its abundance of north-facing slopes. It holds its snow until late April and because of the trees, you can always be guaranteed of a good ski (visibility) on a snowy day.
La Tania is just over 2 hours from Geneva which enables you to get to resort in around 4 hours from leaving the UK. Its located in the heart of the 3 Valleys between Courchevel and Meribel and offers some of the finest and most extensive skiing and boarding in Europe. It’s the perfect base for a short ski break if you want to explore the most incredible ski area with the ultimate of convenience.
La Tania is car-free and carefree. The ski terrain is varied and suits all levels, particularly beginners who are spoilt for choice with excellent ski and board schools as well as their own free lift.
Like its neighbour, Meribel, the off piste is easy to find, suits all levels and there’s lots of it! Some of the best powder runs in the 3 Valleys extend down from the Dou de Lanches chairlift in La Tania. The local tree runs are the best in the 3 Valleys and all slopes wind their way back down to our Hotel Montana.
We also love the sheer convenience of it all! Not only is Hotel Montana just over a couple of hours from the airport, but the slopes are right outside the front door too.
You can find many well priced restaurants and bars, and some of them, such as The Ski Lodge, Chrome Bar and Taiga, stay open until the small hours for those with a thirst!
Courchevel and La Tania offer excellent English speaking, Brit-run ski and snowboard schools; and lots of great beginner runs lead down back to the hotel. Beginners can get up high, thus ensuring they are not restricted to the nursery slopes lower down; and after a couple or days even the most tentative learner can be exploring the wider area.
If you’re a beginner or a low-level intermediate - you’ll really like it here. It offers stress-free and friendly skiing and boarding which is crowd free even in the busiest weeks.
From La Tania you have instant access to some of the best skiing and boarding the Trois Vallées has to offer, where you will enjoy impressive riding wherever you choose to go. To find some breath-taking descents, you need not venture far from base.
Intermediate and Advanced skiers and boarders are spoilt for choice. You’ll have numerous options at your fingertips: from the steeper and faster skiing found near Val Thorens (one of the highest resorts in Europe) to the incredible off piste in Courchevel and nearby Mont Vallon; not forgetting the famous 70+km circuit (achievable in one day, thanks to the excellent lift network).
There is an extensive range of runs for all abilities and glacier access alongside our snow assurance if you are worried about snowfall, although to be fair this is one of the most snow-sure ski areas in Europe!
