Megève is one of the most chic ski resorts in France. The town was originally create by a Baronness of the famous Rothschild family as France's answer to St. Moritz.
The town is a fantastic place to eat out, featuring exquisite restaurants and Michelen-starred chefs.
Traditional French Cuisine
There are no limits to good options here as the French do enjoy their own cuisine. There are endless excellent restaurants with maybe the best-known being the Flocons de Sel with three Michelen stars. For a less wallet-busting experience a good choice is the Flocons Villages, the sister restaurant run by the same chef, Emmanuel Renault.
There are several nightspots in the village including a jazz club and a casino which is open until 3am every night.
Megève has an excellent sports centre (Le Palais) which features several pools, saunas, turkish baths, a gym and an Olympic ice rink.
