A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE
La Tania is a pretty resort, quite exclusive, yet inexpensive, and offers some of the longest and most snow sure slopes in the 3 Valleys. Due to the abundance of north facing slopes, this area holds snow until late April.
La Tania is located in the heart of the 3 Valleys between Courchevel and Meribel and offers some of the most extensive skiing and boarding in Europe, along with some of the best quality slopes in the Tarantaise Valley. A perfect base - for a ski weekend or short ski break - from which to explore the largest ski area in France.

LA Tania Skiing & BoardingA wide Red run, a rollercoaster Blue and a Green run wind down through the landscape into this pretty resort between Courchevel and Méribel at the heart of Route One. Known to have a family feel, La Tania is car-free and carefree. The ski terrain is varied and suits all levels, particularly beginners who are spoilt for choice with excellent ski and board schools as well as their own free lift.
From La Tania you have instant access to some of the best skiing and boarding the Trois Vallées has to offer, where you will enjoy impressive riding wherever you choose to go. To find some breath-taking descents, you need not venture far from the tip-top pistes in prime condition.
La Tania for BeginnersBeginners and intermediates are well suited to the networks of easy cruising runs that line the resort. La Tania also has some of the finest descents and the longest runs in the whole 3 valleys.
LA Tania the resortLa Tania is a pretty chalet style resort with a very pleasant centre and stunning panoramic views of the Tarantaise valley below. The ski slopes are predominantly north facing and offer very snow sure conditions until late in the season. You can find many well priced restaurants and bars, and some of them, such as The Ski Lodge, Chrome Bar and Taiga, stay open until the small hours for those with a thirst!

It offers skiers the ultimate in choice with route 1 access to the best of the 3 Valleys at their fingertips. The slopes here are impeccably groomed and suitable for all levels of skier.
With a traffic free centre, you can ski to the shops, to the bars and even to the ski lift! Quite a rarity in any sprawling ski resort nowadays! There are excellent facilities which include indoor climbing, tenpin bowling, ice karting, dog sledding and ice skating. Live music and late night venues can be found most nights. Our Hotel Montana offers convenient apres ski and happy hour prices for guests.

Le Bouc Blanc: Situated at the top of the La Tania gondola this lovely restaurant is within easy access to non-skiers. It’s a pleasant wood clad building with a mixed menu and a large terrace.
Le Roc Tania: Take the Dou des Lanches lift after the La Tania gondola. It has a great menu of mountain favourites, a large sun terrace and spectacular 360 degree views.
Restaurants In Town
In La Tania you will find a small, but great range of restaurants. Here you will find simple take out menus located next to an internationally recognised gourmet award winning establishment.
Snack-Bar Le Snow Food : If you are after a quick bite, this is the place to be! Great for sandwiches, paninis and pizzas.
Restaurant La Ferme de La Tania: Homely place right at the end of the Folyères piste that has a terrace for sunny days and serves up everything from crepes to local Savoyard specialities
Restaurant Les Chanterelles: Famous for its savoury crepes and other dishes including “cripites" – a kind of thin pizza which are the chef’s speciality.
Restaurant Les Marmottons: Serves Savoyard specialties as well as, once again, pizzas. Every Thursday night there’s a special meal of mussels and chips!
Le Farçon: Michelin star awarded restaurant, this is the one to go for gourmet French cuisine. Despite having a prestigious name around the 3 Vallees, they still offer great value for money with set menus and 3 courses lunches. The chef's speciality is suckling pig feast!
There are a handful of bars in La Tania and wthey are usually buzzing with visiting Brits.
Le Chrome Bar: Usually lively thanks to happy hours and live music all season long. There are big screen TVs showing sports and a fast food service at lunch and dinner.
Pub Le Ski Lodge: As they say: “the most well known meeting places for the English community in the 3 Valleys.” It runs happy hour offers, concerts and themed evenings. It’s usually busy as soon as the lifts close, if not sooner, and is open unti 2am. It also has lunch and dinner menus.
La Taïga Lounge: The space aims to offer something a little more sophisticated in the shape of a modern styled cocktail bar. It is located just across the main road from the Troika beginners piste in the resort centre.
There is a free ski bus service between La Tania and Courchevel and it departs from the main road behind our Montana Hotel. Courchevel retains its premier position as the most stylish place to ski in France. This ski resort has it all! Courchevel 1850 is a shopping Mecca, with over 150 shops spread along the roadside through the resort. Along with all holiday essentials you will find high class fashion boutiques, galleries and jewellers.
Chic Altitude is the place to buy Swarovski, Jean Paul Gaultier and Barbara Rihl and 1850 Parfum is one of several parfumeries. Several great ski shops sell the top skiwear brands skiwear. Jean Blanc Sports, for example stocks brands including Bogner, Killy, Spyder and Sun Valley.

Economy, Discovery or Performance level?
Snowboards are only offered in two grades - Discovery and Performance. Skis however can come in 3 grades. Please use the following guide:

Ski hire Quality Assurance:Our suppliers only use a high quality of skis and boards which are 70% new stock at the start of every season. The other 30% is either 1 or 2 seasons old but exceptionally well maintained and serviced each weekend and during the week if required.
They will also provide kit changes and alterations throughout the week, if necessary, and a professional fitting service that ensures you are not skiing on low grade or unsuitable gear, which can hinder your progress.
We will make sure that you get treated well and do not get any illegitimate credit card swipes for damages to kit. Please understand that we cannot help you with skis or equipment if you book independently or using non-endorsed suppliers.
Lift Passes in more detail:Over 65's are advised to buy ski passes on the transfer coach from our reps where they can get updated information on any current Senior discounts (subject to local terms & conditions). Seniors require a passport photo to purchase their passes.
