Our Hotel

The Philibert is a beautiful Savoyard hotel, lovingly crafted from local wood and stone. It’s run exclusively by us and you’ll enjoy a warm and friendly welcome from our mountain-mad staff who love getting praise from guests. You’ll also enjoy some of the best views in Morzine and views of the Pleney ski slopes in the distance.

We love its location! It’s just 4 or 5 minutes’ walk (about 450m) to the resort centre for the best shops and bars in town - but we have a tranquil location - so you don’t get all the noise that goes with it! To go skiing each day, it’s a 5-minute bus ride to the Super Morzine lifts (bus stops outside) and slopes for ski school, floodlit skiing and the best slopes in town.

Enjoy the Facilities

Come back at the end of the day to the hotel’s leisure facilities and take it slightly slower for a while. You’ve earned it! The hotel’s sauna and hot tub are the perfect place to soak, float, and wash the day away. Or dip into our outdoor heated pool and enjoy the spectacular views of Morzine and the Pleney ski slopes laid out before you.

Our hotel reception can help with massage and therapies, ski guides or anything you choose to ‘zing up’ your stay. And as usual you can expect freshly made cakes or biscuits for afternoon tea, free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and a cosy lounge complete with its own bar (and happy hour!) with a roaring log fire. Location

The Location

The hotel enjoys a lofty position above Morzine centre with panoramic views of the mountains and you can walk to the bars and shops in less than 5 minutes.

The Super Morzine gondola is about 1 mile away, but you’ll find it easier to take the free bus which stops very regularly (50m from the chalet). The ski bus will also take you to Le Pleney or the Super Morzine lifts within 5/6 minutes for ski schools and a greater choice of skiing

Alternatively, you can catch the bus in the other direction and get to the main Avoriaz gondola (Les Prodains) in less than 10 minutes, so you have an even choice of where to ski each day!

Food, glorious food!

Our half board catering package includes breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. We believe in eating well when you’re skiing and boarding. And a great day on the slopes starts with a very important meal. We serve up a proper breakfast each day, (with hot options on most days), to make sure you’re well set up for all the snow you can handle.

And we know that nothing beats a freshly-baked cake and afternoon tea when you get back in from the slopes in the afternoon. Round off the day with a delicious evening meal fit for a snow king...or queen. You won’t go hungry staying with us!

Morzine

Morzine is the capital of the vast 650km Portes du Soleil ski area. A domain that spans a dozen resorts and slopes which extend into Switzerland. It makes for one of the largest (and most interesting) ski areas in Europe and it’s all covered by the same lift pass. With so much skiing and snowboarding on offer - you’ll always be discovering new runs you’ve never done before!
