Once visited, you’ll always return! Without question, the Meilleur is one of our favourite chalets. Freshly revamped for the 21/22 ski season, this is a beautifully appointed ski chalet with bags of charm and a location to die for! Situated just 2 minutes from the Morel lifts, slopes and bars; and only 5 mins from the central areas of Meribel - you won’t need to take a shuttle bus all week!

The Chalet

Chalet Meilleur is a lovely ski chalet for 12-14 and situated just 5 mins from the shops and bars of Méribel centre; and 2 mins walk to the ski lifts, slopes and bars of Morel.

Meilleur is a delightfully atmospheric ski chalet with lots of Alpine charm and quirky little features that we’re rather fond of. The chalet manages to tastefully blend the old and the new with a large open fireplace, lovely wooden beams and vaulted ceilings - to create a wonderful atmosphere around the dinner table.

With an almost ski-to-door location (for intermediates) and a 2 minute walk to the lifts and slopes for everyone else, we think the Meilleur is a hard chalet to match - and suits all abilities - with no need to take a shuttle bus during your stay!

Layout

Six bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom - laid out over three levels - with an open plan kitchen, dining room and comfy lounge (or sitting room) with sofas, open fireplace, TV, dvd, iPOD dock, board games and Wi-Fi. Everything you need for a great week away with family and friends. Boot dryer/warmer and ski room downstairs with washing machine.

Location

The Location

Meilleur is situated in Méribel-Morel, an easy 2 minute walk to the shops and bars of Morel or a 5 minute walk to the shops and bars of central Méribel. It’s only a 2 minutes walk (150 metre) to the ski slopes and Morel chairlift, and if you’re an intermediate skier then you can ride almost back to the chalet via a ‘cut through’ which is off the main Morel piste as you ski back down.

The famous ‘Chez Ki Ki’ restaurant is next-door-but-one to the chalet, and offers some of the best grilled meats in the Savoie for staff night off, but you’ll need to book in advance with our chalet hosts!

In the mornings, take the Morel chairlift to access the Altiport ski area (for lessons and beginners) and pick up onward connections to the wider 3 Valleys and the Chaudanne which is a short ski away. It’s a great location for beating the crowds and getting to the best slopes quickly, and then skiing back to the chalet at the end of the day for all levels.

Food, glorious food

A good day on the mountains starts with one very important meal. To kick off your day, we serve a hearty breakfast to set you up for all the snow you can handle.

Nothing beats a freshly-baked cake and afternoon tea when you get back in from the slopes in the afternoon and our delicious three-course meals with unlimited wine. Méribel

Méribel is in the heart of one of the most prestigious ski areas in the world, Les Trois Vallèes. It shares a ski area with Courchevel and Val Thorens (all included on the same lift pass) and nestles in between these two mega-resorts to offer one of the finest ski areas known to man! Wide motorway piste, a vast network of beginner runs, jaw dropping off piste, snow parks for skiers and boarders and an array of intermediate and expert itineraries offering a huge variety of skiing.

We also love Méribel for its pretty architecture, buzzing resort-life and apres ski; and the Folie Douce of course!
