A beautiful 8 bed Premium Plus ski chalet, adjacent to its sister chalet Les Cimes. And very close the slopes. Simply cross over the road and ski directly down to the chairlift which is a few hundred metres away. At the end of the day you can ski back to within a couple of hundred metres of the chalet and it’s a downhill walk to the front door.
Chalet Grande Rochette is a Premium Plus, 8 bed ski chalet with a Swedish hot tub and sauna. It has spacious, airy bedrooms - with some that look onto the pistes - and ensuite bathrooms as standard. It’s the ultimate ski-pad for a small group of friends or family in this sought after high altitude ski area.
You’ll enjoy its newly renovated interior with all the mod-cons you’d expect from a luxury ski-pad, along with a large open-plan living and dining area. There’s even a sauna for some post-ski recuperation; and an outdoor Swedish hot tub. From the door of the chalet, it’s a short ski down a track to the chairlift and slopes - you just have to cross over a small road before you ‘clip in’ and go. And it’s less than 5 mins walk to the ski hire shops, ski school meeting point and bars and restaurants of La Plagne 1800. At mealtimes your Alpine Elements host will serve up cooked and continental breakfasts for skiers on a mission! And then freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea and our signature five course evening menus to follow.
Four spacious bedrooms with beds for 8: Lounge, kitchen, dining room, outdoor Swedish hot tub, indoor sauna and boot room with boot warmers. The balcony has panoramic views of the slopes. All rooms can fit a cot - please request at time of booking. Rooms will be cleaned twice a week in line with our strict Covid-19 policy. Parking is nearby.
The chalet is about 850m from the more central areas in resort, or a 10 minute walk, but the very regular resort shuttle-bus stops right outside the chalet which will whisk you to and from the slopes and town centre in a matter of minutes.
The only thing we enjoy as much as fresh powder is freshly-cooked food at the end of a day on the slopes. You can expect the very best from our highly-trained hosts, because we know that eating and drinking well are essential parts of any ski holiday.
Each morning you’ll enjoy our very own Breakfast of Champions, served up by your Alpine team. Freshly-cooked bacon and eggs to set you up for the day or mouth-watering continental options if you’d prefer, with a slap-up continental breakfast brought in on the staff’s day off.
Nothing beats a freshly-baked cake and afternoon tea when you get back in from the slopes, which you’ll be able to tuck into on five days of your stay. Each of our chalets has its own Nespresso machine supplying fresh coffee on tap to help you stay suitably caffeinated throughout your holiday.
In the evenings we’ll tease your taste buds with pre-dinner drinks and canapés as part of a delicious five-course menu, accompanied by free-flowing excellent wines until dessert, followed by a cheese board and port as your fifth course. All this is served on six nights of your stay, leaving you free to explore the local restaurants on the staff's night off.
The snow-sure nature of La Plagne is helped by the glacier skiing at Plagne Bellecôte, which extends up to 3250 metres. From here you will find an up to 2000m vertical drop, with some Black and Red slopes together with a seemingly endless supply of powder, and some of the longest descents in France.
Our Chalets in La Plagne are mostly ski to door or very close to the slopes. They are also just a short, easy ski to the ski school meeting points - so convenient skiing is definitely something which you can look forward too
