Chalet Charmant is a ski-to-door chalet for 10-12 and has been recently refurbished to offer cosy and very pleasant ski accommodation. It is in the heart of Plagne Village, (2052m), which is one of the prettiest of the La Plagne villages and suits all abilities with a full range of ski slopes at your fingertips. There’s 5 en-suite bedrooms and a private sauna, so if you’re looking for great skiing on your doorstep - with no walking at all - and some special chalet facilities then the Charmant should be on your short list!

The Chalet

Charmant is a true ‘skiers chalet’ as it places you at the heart of the action, with a slopeside location so you can make the most of the excellent Paradiski area. It was recently refurbished and has beds for 10-12 laid out over 5 ensuite bedrooms. You’ll even get a discount if you fill all 12 beds! As a ski to door chalet, the Charmant places you in the thick of the action with the best of the Paradiski on your doorstep.

The chalet has a sauna downstairs (perfect for post-ski recuperation) and an open plan living area with comfy sofas, board games and a log fire to look forward to on your return from the mountains. We think it’s best enjoyed with our freshly made cake for afternoon tea before tucking in to a 3 course meal and wine that your chalet host will prepare for you. Parking nearby.

Plagne Village is a great choice for all abilities: from families and beginners looking for easy doorstep skiing and a village atmosphere to experienced skiers and boarders who demand immediate access to the best slopes and powder runs in one of France's largest ski areas.

The Charmant suits 10-12 persons and you can even get a discount if you fill all 12 beds! There’s five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Most have incredible views of the mountains and slopes. Open plan lounge-dining room with fireplace, kitchen, balcony. Downstairs is a sauna and ski room with boot warmers. Most rooms can fit a cot.

Location

The Location

The Chalet Charmant (next to chalets Panoramique and Elegant) is in the popular Plagne Village satellite with ski to door access to the best slopes in the Paradiski. It suits families, beginners and more advanced who want direct access to the best skiing or boarding, without having to travel far to get there.

You can ski back to the chalet at the end of the day and, in the morning, simply cross over a small road and clip into your skis before heading down to the Bergerie or Melezes chairlifts. The Telebus ski lift (50 metres from the chalet) will take you directly to Plagne Centre for ski school meeting points, more lifts and a bigger choice of shops and bars. The Telebus runs until late (to around midnight) for night-time bars.

In Plagne Villages itself, there is a small central area with restaurants, shops and a cool apreè-ski bar or two, so you don't have to travel far if you’d like to keep things local.

Food, glorious food

A good day on the mountains starts with one very important meal. To kick off your day, we serve a hearty breakfast to set you up for all the snow you can handle.

Nothing beats a freshly-baked cake and afternoon tea when you get back in from the slopes in the afternoon and our delicious three-course meals with unlimited wine. About La Plagne

La Plagne is a snow-sure super-resort, with excellent glacier skiing for all levels. Choose from the Bellecôte glacier in La Plagne (3250m) or the Aiguille Rouge in Les Arcs (3226m). The Paradiski lift pass links these two neighbouring resorts to offer a large and diverse ski area, which is the 4th largest in France.

Try the 7 Km long run down from the top of the Aguille Rouge or explore the peaks of La Plagne, where you’ll find a seemingly endless supply of powder-snow, and some of the best (and longest) descents in France.
