      Your home for the week

Chalet Almach has lots of charm and ski-atmosphere from its wraparound balcony and stunning views of the slopes. It enjoys an outdoor hot tub with views of the mountains and a chalet sauna for essential post-ski recuperation. It also has a prime location in Plagne 1800, just 4 mins’ walk (350m) from the ski slopes, shops and bars of the vibrant centre in Plagne 1800.

The chalet enjoys a calm location in the trees: close enough to the action but nice and tranquil for relaxation. If you appreciate high altitude skiing in a picturesque location, we think you’ll like it here!

The chalet sleeps 14 in seven bedrooms over three floors. On the main floor is a lovely open plan lounge/dining room with an open fireplace vaulted ceiling and a sunny balcony that provides the perfect atmosphere. You’ll enjoy the chalets’ own sauna, hot tub and freshly made cakes for afternoon tea.

      Location

The chalet is located a short 4-5 min’ walk (350m) from the nearest connecting slope where you can ski down to the main lifts and slopes in Plagne 1800. In good snow, this walk can be reduced by poling along the access road which runs under the chalet.

The Tourist Office, shops, bars and ski school meeting points in central 1800 are about 3 to 4 mins walk (350m). It’s an easy walk down to the centre and a 5 min’ walk back up to the chalet. Alternatively, you can take the free bus which stops less than 100m from the chalet if you’d prefer not to walk, or have children.

      Eat, drink and be skiing

The only thing we enjoy as much as fresh powder is freshly-cooked food at the end of a day on the slopes. You can expect the very best from our highly-trained hosts and chefs, because we know that eating and drinking well are essential parts of any ski holiday.

      • Bubbly reception on arrival night
      • Breakfast each day (7 days) with hot options on 3 day
      • Afternoon tea, coffee & hot choc’ with freshly baked cakes or biscuits (6 days)
      • Three-course evening meals (6 nights)
      • Red & white wine with dinner, unlimited until dessert
      • Special celebration menus at Christmas & New Year
      • Welcome toiletries
      • Explore the local restaurants for staff night off

Each morning you’ll enjoy our very own Breakfast of Champions. A hearty breakfast buffet with cooked options like eggs and bacon on 3 days; and mouth-watering continental options every day. Nothing beats a freshly-baked cake and afternoon tea when you get back in from the slopes and each of our chalets has its own coffee machine supplying fresh coffee on tap to help you stay suitably caffeinated throughout your holiday.

In the evenings we’ll tease your taste buds with a delicious three-course menu, accompanied by free-flowing wines until dessert. All this is served on six nights of your stay, leaving you free to explore the local restaurants on staff nights off.

      About La Plagne

La Plagne and the Paradiski make up the 4th largest ski area in France and it’s as snow sure as they come! It has two glaciers for skiing at Plagne Bellecôte (3250m) and the Aiguille Rouge in Les Arcs (3226m). Try the 7 Km long run down from the top of the Aguille Rouge or explore the peaks of La Plagne, where you’ll find a seemingly endless supply of powder-snow, and some of the best (and longest) descents in France.

From 1800, you will find lots of long runs for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders with a seemingly endless supply of powdery off-piste and some of the longest descents in France.

La Plagne 1800 is one of the prettier satellites of the La Plagne ski area and has a nice variety of apres ski bars and ski shops. It is also in the treeline which adds charm and practicality for skiing on a day when the weather comes in.
