Hotel Pointe Isabelle

Chamonix

The Hotel

Located in the heart of Chamonix, the Pointe Isabelle has been completely renovated in 2014 and has plenty of history behind it. The hotel is named after Isabella Straton, a well-educated and wealthy young lady who left England in the 1860s to become a pioneering mountaineer in the unexplored French Alps.

Many years later, Isabella's grandchildren opened the hotel and named it after the mountain in the Mont Blanc massif that was climbed by Isabella Straton for the first time in 1875.

Pointe Isabelle has a trendy, but timeless, feel to it with modern and comfortable furnishings. The fantastic location in the centre of Chamonix is simply fantastic to both keen skiers and those interested in the culture and activities of Chamonix.

The trendy bar & bistro offers traditional cuisine with a modern twist and some British and Scandinavian favourites!

The sunny terrace adjoining the bar is one of Chamonix’s favourite spots for enjoying the mountain scenery and soaking up the resort atmosphere.

The Rooms

The Pointe Isabelle Hotel has 45 spacious and comfortable rooms. Our Standard rooms are 20 square meters and have one double bed OR two single beds.

They are all full ensuite and most of them feature a balcony with views over Chamonix town and the surrounding mountains.

You will also find a writing desk and a comfortable reading chair to complete the chic bedroom look.

Location

Located in the Chamonix town centre, the Pointe Isabelle Hotel is just a 1-minute walk from the SNCF Chamonix Train Station. Expect fantastic views of Mont Blanc from all balconies!

Getting around Chamonix is very easy and most places can be reached by foot. Alternatively, regular buses serve the entire valley and all ski areas, and are free of charge for lift pass holders.

You will also find the Mulets – free mini buses that make easy to get around in the city centre – departing every 10 minutes from various spots.

The Catering

This is one of our B&B Hotels, so evening meal is not included, but your day will start with a buffet breakfast to set you up for the day on the slopes! Breakfast is included in our packages.

With this option you get the chance to explore the local restaurants and the traditional culinary delights for your evening meals.

Alternatively, the Pointe Isabelle Bar & Bistro is open every day for lunch and dinner and on the menu you will find a fantastic selection of traditional and modern dishes.
