LES GETS RESORT GUIDE

Morzine-Resort-5-1920.jpg

This lovely looking alpine village has been popular with boarders and skiers for decades and for a very good reason. The lively vibrant atmosphere combined with being part of ‘The Portes Du Soleil’ – the second largest area in France - gives the perfect ingredients for a holiday to remember. Below you will find some of our personal favourite places in and around Les Gets.

Where To Eat?

Being the quintessential French resort, the restaurants and food are much what you’d expect.

Vieux Chene: Typical local dishes, good service in a central location.

Taniere: Located near to main ski lift. Heated terrace, great with kids and does great moules-frites and salads.

Tourbillion: Very good quality Savoyard cuisine, at affordable prices.

Le Ferme de Montagne: Family-run establishment, with excellent very high quality cuisine.undefined

Le Flambeau: Small but perfectly formed! Meats and fondues are great! There are also pizzas to takeaway.

Le Tyrol: Warm friendly feel with cosy interior. Try the hot stone or fondue. Very popular restaurant.

Schuss: Situated on the main street, great for big group bookings when the object is consuming vast quantities of pizzas and red wine.

Where To Party?

The Irish Bar: Themed evenings, live bands and drinks promotions 4-6 pm.

The Black Bear: Located above the Irish Bar. A lovely cosy bar with plenty of snug alcoves to warm up in. Great bar snacks.

Bar Bush: Brits seem to love this place. Happy hour is between 5 and 7pm.

Zebra Bar: Some brilliant live bands playing until 9ish when the DJs take over.

Bar Canadie: Civilised & fun. Fantastic cheese plates to share over a pint with friends.

Boomerang: Lively, down to earth Australian hospitality. Is on the main street, part of the hotel of the same name.

L’Igloo: If your legs can take more, get your dancing feet down to L’Igloo for some late night grooves.

What Else To Do

The quirky excursions to the music box museum, animated mannequins shop and local cheese farm are a hit and young & old will love the charming outdoor ice rink. Plus: Paragliding, Dog Sledding, Snow shoeing, Hot air balloons, Snow Mobils, Ski Diving, Ice Skating, Cross country skiing, Swimming pool, gym and saunas.
