La Tania Resort Guide

La-Tania-Resort-1920.jpg

With a prestigious 3 Valleys location, La Tania is sandwiched between Courchevel and Meribel in the heart of one of Europe's largest and finest ski areas (600+kms of piste!). It offers skiers the ultimate in choice with route 1 access to the best of the 3 Valleys at their fingertips. The slopes here are impeccably groomed and suitable for all levels of skier.

With a traffic free centre, you can ski to the shops, to the bars and even to the ski lift! Quite a rarity in any sprawling ski resort nowadays! There are excellent facilities which include indoor climbing, tenpin bowling, ice karting, dog sledding and ice skating. Live music and late night venues can be found most nights. Our Hotel Montana offers convenient apres ski and happy hour prices for guests.

Where To Eat?

Mountain Restaurants

There are many mountain restaurants in the 3 Valleys and 2 of the closest to La Tania are:

Le Bouc Blanc: Situated at the top of the La Tania gondola this lovely restaurant is within easy access to non-skiers. It’s a pleasant wood clad building with a mixed menu and a large terrace.

Le Roc Tania: Take the Dou des Lanches lift after the La Tania gondola. It has a great menu of mountain favourites, a large sun terrace and spectacular 360 degree views.

RESTAURANTS IN TOWN

In La Tania you will find a small, but great range of restaurants. Here you will find simple take out menus located next to an internationally recognised gourmet award winning establishment.

Snack-Bar Le Snow Food: If you are after a quick bite, this is the place to be! Great for sandwiches, paninis and pizzas.

Restaurant La Ferme de La Tania: Homely place right at the end of the Folyères piste that has a terrace for sunny days and serves up everything from crepes to local Savoyard specialities

Restaurant Les Chanterelles: Famous for its savoury crepes and other dishes including “cripites" – a kind of thin pizza which are the chef’s speciality.

Restaurant Les Marmottons: Serves Savoyard specialties as well as, once again, pizzas. Every Thursday night there’s a special meal of mussels and chips!undefined

Le Farçon: Michelin star awarded restaurant, this is the one to go for gourmet French cuisine. Despite having a prestigious name around the 3 Vallees, they still offer great value for money with set menus and 3 courses lunches. The chef's speciality is suckling pig feast!

Where To Party?

There are a handful of bars in La Tania and wthey are usually buzzing with visiting Brits.

Le Chrome Bar: Usually lively thanks to happy hours and live music all season long. There are big screen TVs showing sports and a fast food service at lunch and dinner.

Pub Le Ski Lodge: As they say: “the most well known meeting places for the English community in the 3 Valleys.” It runs happy hour offers, concerts and themed evenings. It’s usually busy as soon as the lifts close, if not sooner, and is open unti 2am. It also has lunch and dinner menus.

La Taïga Lounge: The space aims to offer something a little more sophisticated in the shape of a modern styled cocktail bar. It is located just across the main road from the Troika beginners piste in the resort centre.

What Else To Do

There is a free ski bus service between La Tania and Courchevel and it departs from the main road behind our Montana Hotel. Courchevel retains its premier position as the most stylish place to ski in France. This ski resort has it all!
