Resort Overview
Courchevel truly is a gem in the heart of the three valleys ski area. Its one of the few truly stereo-typical alpine villages around. The nightlife is vibrant and the pistes extensive and variedwhat more do you need. The three valleys is a world renowned Mecca for winter sports enthusiasts and not being as expensive as its neighbouring Meribel, has an ardent following. It also holds the record for the most high speed gondolas in the world making queues a thing of the past.

Skiing & Boarding
The skiing here is la creme de la creme of the Alps, and perfect for beginners and inters. Make sure, unless youre a complete novice, you buy a full area lift pass and make the most of what the three valleys can offer you. The area is made up of 8 resorts including Meribel, La Tania, Brides-les- Bains, and Val Thorens. Most of Meribel is above the trees but as its on a North to South trajectory you can ski the east side all morning and the west side all afternoon for plenty of sunshine.

The Courchevel lift pass will take you all the way up to 2952m and the full area pass, 3266m.

The Resort
This rather pretty village has plenty to offer. Theres a fantastic array of bars and restaurants to choose from with a smattering of museums and art galleries thrown in. In the last few years the village has expanded massively and gets full marks for doing it so sympathetically to its surroundings. The atmosphere is constantly buzzing with a dose of British influence mixed in. Youll find the nightlife as good if not better than anywhere in the Alps
