Avoriaz is a car-free resort where the buildings have been designed to blend in with the craggy rocks upon which it sits. A resort with stunning views and in the heart of a huge ski area that spans 12 stations and 650kms of piste.
Avoriaz is not a "chalet-style" resort, but its high rise apartments are always caked in plenty of snow, so it doesn't look too bad!
In fact chalets are a rarity in this resort - so apartments are the only economical way to go.
The skiing suits all levels from beginner to advanced and the area always gets a decent amount of snow due to its northerly location. You can ski Switzerland all in a day and cover many miles throughout your stay.
Most of Avoriaz is ski in ski out, and shops, bars, restaurants are all close to our residences. Nighlife is quite "French" but still great fun and there are plenty of late night bars and good restaurants to choose from. The local ski domain is very pretty and a friendly atmosphere will suit beginners and families.
